The cut

Before starting garment production, we perform cutting placements: a crucial step that allows us to optimize fabric use according to the patterns and quantities required for each size. Thanks to specialized software, we can analyze and calculate the efficiency of these placements to minimize the amount of waste produced.

Valorization of offcuts

To make the most of these scraps and bring them to life, we have designed a range of practical accessories (for example: tote bags, pouches, headbands, shoe bags, etc.) that can be integrated into the empty spaces generated by the cutting placement.

These accessories vary depending on the collection, fabrics, colors, and quantities produced. We add them only when possible, ensuring they are placed in unused spaces without disrupting the efficient layout of the main rooms.

In the example below, the initial placement was 80% efficient. By filling the gaps created by the garment shape and taking into account quantity constraints by size, we were able to improve the placement efficiency to 84%, thus optimizing the use of our raw material.

Production

Our clothing is proudly made entirely in Montreal. Approximately 75% of our production is carried out in our workshops by our superb and talented seamstresses on Monk Boulevard.

The remaining 25% of production is done by other local workshops in Montreal.

Producing locally not only has a positive impact on the environment and supports the regional economy, but it also allows us to have an overview and better control over the monitoring of our production.

In addition, local production helps to preserve and transmit the know-how of the textile industry.
