Marrying the functional with the decorative, Celia Widemann's ceramic practice lies at the intersection of several disciplines. By combining her two great passions—textiles and ceramics—she creates pieces that tell a story conducive to contemplation, particularly thanks to the numerous details inscribed in the solid forms. She draws inspiration from the world of childhood and European folklore, while gravitating toward the simplicity of patterns and their multiple interpretations. To create them, she uses stencils and stamps—techniques closely linked to textiles, evoking the know-how of traditional printing. All of her products are carefully designed in Canada.
