The finishes are considered from the design stage of the patterns to facilitate adjustments, if necessary, during alterations or body changes.

We design our garments with finishes that allow for easier and longer-lasting alterations: accessible seams, thoughtful construction, and technical details that make alterations possible without altering the garment's look. This careful construction allows each piece to more easily adapt to your changing body, extending its lifespan while remaining comfortable and flattering.

We use 3D design software to work on our patterns, which allows us to visualize a prototype and make changes before even creating the final sample.

By virtually testing volumes, cuts, and fits, we avoid producing multiple, unnecessary physical prototypes. This results in a significant reduction in fabric, thread, and energy waste. This streamlined process allows us to create more accurately, more efficiently—and, most importantly, with less impact on resources.

Our samples are produced in sizes S and XL to ensure our garments fit both petite and plus sizes.

In the industry, most brands design their prototypes in a single size—often an in-between size—and then use a standard grading system to scale down the remaining sizes. This process, while convenient, doesn't always account for the adjustments needed for larger figures, which can result in ill-fitting, uncomfortable, or unflattering fits.

At Melow, we take the time to test our designs on different body sizes right from the prototyping phase. This allows us to rethink certain proportions, adjust volumes, and ensure a better fit on a wider variety of body types. This choice requires more effort, but it reflects our commitment to more inclusive, fairer fashion—one that truly works for everyone.

We also offer a range of sizes from XS to XXL and from 4 to 18 — an offering that is still uncommon in the local fashion world, and which reflects our commitment to more inclusive and accessible fashion.
